About Washington Hill Climbers

To Make the Best Better!

Washington Hill Climbers 4-H Club was established in Pickaway County, Ohio in 1934.  It is one of the oldest and largest clubs in the county.

If you are interested in joining 4-H we encourage you to call the Pickaway County OSU Extension Office at (740) 474-7534 or check out their website.

Washington Hill Climbers meet December thru June.  Our meetings are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 2-3 times per month at a business in Circleville.  We are ~65 members strong.  Come join the fun!

Cloverbuds are Kindergarten through second grade.

Members are grades 3-12 (ages 8-18 as of January.)

Our club is mostly livestock projects.  Quite a few of our members take Home-Ec or Miscellaneous projects.

To complete your 4H year you must:

  1. Attend a minimum of 6 meetings.  We have 14 meetings scheduled for this year. Get these on your calendar!

  2. Give a Demonstration (cloverbuds excluded) Saturday, March 15 will be Demonstrations.  Limit your demo to no more than 4 minutes and SHOW us how to do something.  Don’t just tell us how to do it.  If you cannot be at the 3/15 meeting you can give your demo at a later assigned meeting.

  3. Attend at least 1 community service activity.

  4. Complete Quality Assurance (QA) Activity (for animal projects only)

  5. Complete your project & attend a judging.  It doesn’t have to be during the fair but you must make arrangements with the Extension office to have your project reviewed before it is considered complete.

Interested in joining our club?  Contact the Extension Office or reach out to our Advisors for more detailed information. Due to safety and privacy we do not publicly publish our meeting list or location.
